GMC CESR team are to run a CESR Workshop.

If you wish to attend please email nhatuveetil.sreekumar@tst.nhs.uk

The programme is as follows. The final programme will be mailed nearer to the day.

10:00 - 10:30 Presentation by Certification Team to address the following topics:

• What is a CESR and Eligibility

• Preparing for submission of an application to GMC - including validation and authentication

• The process once an application is submitted

• Why applications are unsuccessful

10:30 - 11:30 Practical Exercise - Split into smaller groups to talk through a (condensed) real evidence bundle. This gives the delegates an idea of size of bundle, validation, types of evidence etc. This also allows the delegates to ask questions about the CESR process and evidence bundles.

11:30 - 11:45 Refreshments

11:45 - 12:45 Question and answers - An opportunity for delegates to ask specific questions using the same groups.

This workshop is conducted directly by CESR Offices from GMC Manchester facility. They process all the CESR applications and do all the correspondence with Colleges and the candidates. Their workshops are very informative, and you can clarify any doubts you have regarding the whole process of application. I am hoping to also have one/two of our successful candidates talk to us about how they found the process, and offer any practical tips.

PLEASE NOTE: GMC REPRESENTATIVES WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SCRUTINISE INDIVIDUAL APPLICATIONS; NOR WILL THEY BE ABLE TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL APPLICATION–SPECIFIC ADVICE. Please do not approach them for this since they are legally not in a position to offer this service.

They have to restrict the number of delegates in each workshop. Hence please send me your confirmation by email with contact details if you are definite to attend. nhatuveetil.sreekumar@tst.nhs.uk
