Reasons for offering this Master Class:

All Trusts are undergoing increasing amount of change as they respond to the challenges of increased demands of services and financial pressures. Continually looking at how things can be done differently, more efficiently with limited resources can be daunting.  Taunton and Somerset Trust have committed internal investment to develop their own improvement team to build and grow their capability to deliver change and service development using improvement methodology. Using IHI (Institute for Healthcare Improvement) principles, the team supports services, departments and directorates deliver better, high quality, safe and valued healthcare to patients. This approach has been used at all levels; Foundation Year Trainees projects, reduced waiting lists and enhanced planned theatre booking process. This masterclass  will hopefully give some insight of ‘how it can be done’ locally!
