We have arranged extra master classes on key topics to compliment the established programme and which are available to all senior educators and professionals in Health Education South West, they include Heads of Schools, Directors of Medical Education and Training Programme Directors.

We are calling them “Senior Faculty Tutorials” as they are standalone sessions aimed at a wider audience that the Educational Strategy and Development focused series of master classes.

This session is an introduction to effective mediation processes in organisations and is also a taster for a week’s expert course we are running in March 2014, which leads to a recognised mediation qualification.

The session will be present by Jonathan Dingle, Barrister and founder of the London School of Mediation. On the 26th November he will present a review of dispute resolution in the NHS and wider society, drawing on a range of experiences; will look at standard negotiation techniques; and then present a demonstration mediation set in the context of a fictional example which will be set in a recognisable storyline.

Participants will have the chance, if they wish, to take roles in this process. Jonathan will provide some advanced materials on this.

For further enquiries or to book a place on either or both of these events please email Tracy Baudains.
