Using OneDrive Plus SecureSend (Severn School staff Closed group)
Category: HEE Training - Severn School staff closed group
Date: September 17th 2018 11:00am until 12:30pm
Location: via Skype
I am running the usual OneDrive training that is offered to all, but will include any queries specific to our Bristol office move. It is important you know how to copy your files into OneDrive particularly for use during the period when our systems will be unavailable.
Please see details below of what will be covered and register. I will then acknowledge that request and send you the meeting invite. On the day of training please ensure you have your Skype headset plugged in ready to use.
Severn School staff - aside from the office move requirements, staff need to start using OneDrive instead of their personal network drive. In addition to this, HEE staff users who were using Kiteworks to send files securely to staff/trainees/Trusts etc need to use OneDrive. Kiteworks stopped being available from 30 June 2018.
It is important you understand how permissions work when using OneDrive to ensure files shared are secure.
This session will include:
- Understanding the OneDrive screen
- O365 settings - eg Theme, Change Password
- Setting up and Managing Folders and Files
- Moving/Copying Folders/Files from your Personal Drive
- Secure Send - Inviting users and applying appropriate permissions
- Editing and Removing Permissions
- Good Practice
Note: This training will be via Skype for Business.
The HEE guide relating to Skype and how to login (pg 4) can be found in Sharepoint, Office 0365 Central, Useful Documents, Skype for Business then Getting the most from Skype for Business. You can find a similar guide for OneDrive here too.
Please register your details below. I will confirm your email and send you a meeting invite.
Skype for Business: Please ensure you are able to log in to O365 and Skype for Business and have a Skype headset to use (borrow if you don't yet have one). You do not need a webcam to attend this training. I will be sharing my screen and explaining what you need to do. If you would like to do a test call with me to make sure you know what to do beforehand, please contact me via email@example.com
