What we do

 

Quality Strategy and Framework

NHS England supports the delivery of high-quality health education in a safe learning environment across England. We have a duty to continuously overserve, assess and improve the quality of education and training which upholds the skills and behaviours outlined within the NHS constitution.

 

In order to effectively support the delivery of high quality of education and training across England, NHS England have the Quality Strategy and Framework. The strategy and framework describes a multi-professional and risk-based approach to quality management.

 

 

Our Professional Regulators

 

The General Medical Council (GMC)

The GMC hold a professional register which verifies doctors to practice medicine within the UK. They ensure high standards in practice are met to protect patient safety and improve medical education and practice across the UK.

 

The GMC is responsible for the regulation of education and training throughout a doctor’s career, from medical school through the Foundation Programme and specialty training, including general practice training programmes, to continuing professional development.

The General Dental Council

The General Dental Council is an organisation which regulates dental professionals in the United Kingdom. It keeps an up-to-date register of all qualified dentists and other dental care professionals .

The Nursing and Midwifery Council

The Nursing and Midwifery Council is the regulator for nursing and midwifery professions in the UK. The NMC maintains a register of all nurses, midwives and specialist community public health nurses and nursing associates eligible to practise within the UK.
