In this introduction, participants gain an insight into the key principles behind Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). The course shows how our thinking, use of language, and assumptions about the world around us can impact our outcomes. Participants will also learn how to use these principles for improved communication, increased influence and better results.

Background and benefits
- Understanding NLP and its uses in the workplace
Communication skills
- Covering techniques for building rapport with colleagues, teams and clients, including: matching, mirroring, pacing, leading and mismatching
Framing and reframing
- Examining the benefits of effective framing and reframing to maximise motivation and as a tool for providing feedback
Beliefs, filtering, editing and deleting
- Understanding how we create feelings and behaviours and how we can choose to promote useful behaviours in ourselves and others
Anchors
- Learning and utilising simple techniques to enable us to access the best state for the task in hand
Planning for change
- Understanding and using the NLP model to generate positive outcomes

- Use NLP based techniques effectively in the workplace to create more efficient and harmonious working strategies
- Understand different communication styles and preferences and be able to implement effective communication practices in all situations
- Build better, more productive, relationships with colleagues, teams and clients
- Understand and implement effective appraisal and feedback techniques
- Be able to positively influence their own state and those of others to maximise motivation and efficiency
