Introduction:
This exciting course is designed to follow on from the Introductory courses in Patient Safety and Human Factors. The course is being delivered by Dr Laura Pickup, Chartered Human Factors/Ergonomist Specialist.
The course will consider how to consider human factors principles to understanding issues in healthcare. The course will be designed around scenarios in healthcare to work through and consider how to define the problem using system thinking.
Participants can expect to leave the course with insight into a number of common human factor tools used to visualise and explore healthcare systems. It should give then enough confidence to then apply and test the knowledge from the course in their healthcare roles.
