Aim
A programme of faculty development for senior educators in the Severn and Peninsula to assist in creating a consistent understanding about current developments and issues affecting medical education.
Reasons for offering the Master Class
This class will consider how we integrate into postgraduate medical education principles and practices that bring about greater patient safety and help eradicate harm and never events. While patient safety is mentioned in all curricula teaching and learning about this varies greatly between specialties and areas. A great deal of work has been undertaken in recent years on understanding the factors that both support and damage patient safety. This class will explain key findings and initiatives and help us review our practice as medical educators.
