Overview:

This workshop will explore patient safety and human factors covering the new Patient Safety Syllabus as its foundation. No prior knowledge of safety science, human factors and non-technical skills is required. You will gain an introduction to system theory and non-technical skills training. You will gain ‘tricks’ to make you more effective and learn how to approach errors and avoid making mistakes.

Content:

  1. Understanding the macroeconomics of patient safety
  2. How to approach error and avoid making mistakes
  3. Introduction to system theory
  4. Introduction to non-technical skills training and ‘tricks’ to make you more effective

Audience:

ST1, ST2, ST3, ST4, ST5, ST6+

Course Length:

This is a full day course, starting at 10:00 and finishing at 16:00
