Overview:
This workshop will explore patient safety and human factors covering the new Patient Safety Syllabus as its foundation. No prior knowledge of safety science, human factors and non-technical skills is required. You will gain an introduction to system theory and non-technical skills training. You will gain ‘tricks’ to make you more effective and learn how to approach errors and avoid making mistakes.
Content:
- Understanding the macroeconomics of patient safety
- How to approach error and avoid making mistakes
- Introduction to system theory
- Introduction to non-technical skills training and ‘tricks’ to make you more effective
Audience:
ST1, ST2, ST3, ST4, ST5, ST6+
