What is an International Medical Graduate Lead?
An IMG Lead is a senior doctor in the Trust that help and support international medical graduates (IMGs) with:
- as a focal point of contact for GMC’s Welcome to UK Practice, enhanced IMGs Induction and ongoing support structure
- training and development needs relating to communication skills and cultural awareness
- information and direction to further sources of information on career choice and support
- help with pastoral support for newly recruited IMGs
- advice and help with challenging professional matters
