Differential Attainment

The following information is aimed at understanding and addressing Differential Attainment in medical education and training.

The contribution made by Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME/BME) doctors from the UK and overseas is hugely valuable. Students and doctors from BAME/BME groups and overseas-qualified doctors can face significant barriers to success.

We aim to give information and overview of the evidence relating to differential attainment by ethnicity and by country of primary medical qualification (PMQ), and some evidence-based suggestions for tackling differential attainment in medical education and training.
