On behalf of the Royal College of Surgeons and the Specialty Advisory Committee in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), NHS England (South West) will be managing the national selection to the specialty.
Appointments will be made in OMFS at ST1 and ST3 level and successful candidates will continue, subject to satisfactory review, until completion of training at ST7.
OMFS deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the mouth, jaw, face and neck. It is unique in requiring a dual qualification in medicine and dentistry. Further details of a career in OMFS can be found at NHS Medical Careers.
